It's not that good in the kitchen, though.

it's all in the sales technique. You know, you go to buy a regular combine harvester and they ask if you want to max it. A bit like McDonalds.

Ha.
They are so expensive, the cost of a decent house. I remember trying explain why you needed to get rid of gophers quickly by shooting them to a poster on here. Their holes can do some massively expensive damage if left unchecked.

Funny you should ask.
The other day in a field near me, I saw a brand new and matching set of combine (I think it was T-Series, hahaha), tractor (I'd say a large 7), AND grain lorry.
A matching green and yellow livery grain truck! I've never seen such a thing, didn'nt know they made them; it looked posh as you like.
I mentioned it at the pub, and was told that no farm can afford a set like that, so a bunch of farms syndicate to buy them then take in all the harvests with them, and often twice a year. Because the investment is so big, sometimes they really go to town on the kit, and John Deere go the extra mile - so it might have been a unique paint job. No idea, never seen one. Lokked great though, so that's my favourite as it made me feel about 6 years' old seeing them so shiny and new like that.

That is why groups like Hutterites have been so successful where I am from, they are a sharing group already.
That sharing thing used to be the norm, when my grandpa was a farmer but now it is generally Hutterites or being part of big corporate deal.
I saw a Massey out here the other day in semi-rural Oxfordshire.

I was just amazed it was all new, showing it had all been bought at the same time - a heckuver lot of cash. Nice kit though obviously, and did make me smile. Very jealous, although of course I know that shiny new toys are a very rare part of the job. Just beats indoor work for the few weeks when conditions are so perfect.
